These past few months have been exceptionally stressful; that is saying it nicely. People are stressed out like never before, and rightly so.

Being a mother can be one of the most joyous experiences we can ever have in life, but it can also be one of the most stressful!

In this article, I want to outline seven unique and whacky stress management activities that you can do as a mother to keep you sane.

1 – Therapy ~ Stress Management Activities

Right off the bat, I would like to recommend therapy. Therapy is something that we all need in life, and there is no shame in it.

Think about it, when we talk to friends about our issues, those conversations serve as therapeutic sessions to get what is on our chest off our chest!

Talk therapy is a great way to allow what weighs on your heart and mind off and get some air to breathe.

We all go through rough times in life, and trying to bear the weight of the world on our shoulders is something that not even Atlas could do!

We are only human, and it is okay to reach out to others for help.

Online therapy is, as the name implies, it is therapy that is online. This site has been around for over a decade now and has helped hundreds of thousands of people get their life back on track.

Journaling is easily one of my favorite ways to unwind and unleash all my pent up anger that I have been storing across the week!

When I journal, I allow myself to pour out into my journal/diary all the pain, hurt, anger, sorrow, regret, shame, humiliation, and trauma I have been through!

This serves as an excellent Medium for me to have an honest discussion with MYSELF.

When I journal, I can read my work a few days later and come to it with fresh eyes and thus have a more objective look!

3 – Ritual Baths ~ Stress Management Activities

This is a great stress management activity that is a personal favorite of mines.

Nothing beats a stressful week like having a nice ritual bath to cleanse my spirit and release all my toxic energy.

Being around negative people can be draining! They have a remarkable ability to suck all our positive energy and feed on it as if they were vampires!

Ritual baths are a great way to rejuvenate our spirits and ward off those negative energies.

4 – Guided Meditation ~ Stress Management Activities

Our minds serve as gardens. What we sow in the soils of our mind will later on reap.

It is very important that we watch what we say to ourselves every day.

In the morning, I give myself seven minutes where I meditate and tell myself specific affirmations.

These affirmations are meant to provide me the positive feedback I need in a day to deal with any stressful situation I may deal with.

5 – Religion/ Spirituality/ Numerology ~ Stress Management Activities

Whatever higher power you believe in, believe in it, as it can help relieve some of the stress you are going through!

Praying is not too dissimilar to meditation, only that we seek a higher power to intervene in our lives.

If you are religious and believe in God, Yahweh, Allah, Krishna, Buddha, or any other higher being, taking the time and reaching out to them by praying is a great way to manage your stress.

If you are spiritual you may believe in a higher spirit or universal energy. I am really getting into numerology and how we can find our own life paths!

Finding your life path offers some relief as it helps me see that whatever I am going on is part of my PATH!

6 – Music Therapy (Lofi Music Is DOPE AS HELL) ~ Stress Management Activities

Music therapy is another favorite of mines to help unwind and release any pent up stress.

Why So Sad?

Chill out and just let it all out!

This is also great if you are doing your whole spiritual cleansing bath ritual thing.

I listen to lofi music when I take my bath, and I feel so relaxed afterward!

7 – Medicinal Marijuana ~ Stress Management Activities

Lastly, and SPEAK WITH YOUR DOCTOR, you might want to consider medicinal marijuana!

Depending on your state and country, this may very well be an option you want to consider.
